Long may the Mercy be a part of the city

I WAS recently a patient in the Mercy Hospital for two weeks, and I would like to that this opportunity to thank the hospital and staff for the wonderful care I received during my stay.

Long may the Mercy be a part of the city

We read in our papers and hear on radio and TV of cutbacks here and there, and while there are a number of cutbacks in the Mercy, they did not effect me in any way whatsoever. The care and attention I received was second to none.

I would like to thank my consultant Dr Niall Brennan, who has been looking after me for a number of years, for his care and expertise. I also want to thank also his registrar, Dr Amani El Gammal for her great support over the two weeks, the staff nurses and ward sisters, especially Fiona. I would also like to thank the kitchen staff for feeding me — believe it or not the food was great at all times, Mary is running a great kitchen in St Catherine’s ward.
