YOU report Finance Minister Brian Lenihan as saying (March 18) Ireland is “now at the hangover stage as the party went a little too far” during the Celtic Tiger.

I hope what he was referring to was the Fianna Fáil party as it was steering the ship then.

He also says legislation is being planned to ban cross-directorships and chief executives becoming chairmen. While he’s doing all this he might also consider putting a stop to sitting TDs getting big pensions while still drawing huge salaries at the same time.
