Cancel euthanasia lecture at hospital

THE executive management board of Cork University Hospital has issued invitations, under the HSE logo, to an interactive lecture entitled ‘Why Euthanasia Should Be Legalised’ by Prof Len Doyal on April 9.

This lecture has been organised by the university hospital ethics forum. Prof Doyal is a known proponent of voluntary and imposed euthanasia.

The purpose of medical lectures used to be to enhance the treatment of patients, for whose care the profession exists. The title of this lecture, which I quote precisely as on the invitation, is chillingly domineering and malevolent in its content.
