Café warned not to put out business board

FOR those who wonder whether our legislators have the flexibility, strength and foresight to lead this country out of recession, allow me to provide the answer.

We run a small city centre café. Seeking to give our customers extra value, we placed a blackboard on the pedestrianised street outside announcing €2 takeout coffees.

Two days later a litter warden arrived to tell us we would be fined €150 if we placed it there again.
