Banking oversight

AS if the banking debacle is not enough to contend with, the Government then appoints the Covered Institution Remuneration Oversight Committee to review bankers’ pay.

Is this committee name not sufficiently nonsensical without proposing that bankers’ pay should be capped at €500,000?

This light-touch committee is so obviously the oversight of our beloved and prudent Government.
