Bury the hatchet

APART from Taoiseach Brian Cowen’s lack of solid leadership in the face of the economic crisis, I was very disappointed with the latest bout of party-bashing between Labour’s Joan Burton and Fianna Fáil’s Barry Andrews on RTÉs Questions & Answers (March 2).

Both engaged in party politics at a time when we need our political parties to come up with an agreed plan for the way forward.

The last thing we need in these circumstances is a general election favoured by the main opposition leaders, but the first thing we need is a bipartisan approach that Mr Cowen seems unwilling to accommodate.
