Now I know why Thatcher disliked unions

I CAN’T say I ever thought much of Maggie Thatcher, but I am starting to understand her dislike of unions.

Now I know why Thatcher disliked unions

One Irish union leader whimpered the other day that his members were not responsible for the mess but were being made to suffer. With a 5% or 6% drop in income? About 250,000 productive workers who were also not the cause of this shambles have suffered cuts of 70%- 80% by losing their jobs.

Get out of cloud-cuckoo union land and into the real world. The bankers, with the roaring incompetence, if not actual connivance, of a certain finance minister, have put us far up the creek and the unions are trying to throw the paddle away. And while I’m at it, I might ask who was mostly responsible for pricing Ireland out of the world’s production market? Come back, Maggie. I think I understand at last.
