IN her letter (February 12), Dr Florence Craven takes Transport Minister Noel Dempsey to task for exhorting others to cycle while sitting in his Audi.

But what’s wrong with thousands of Chinese people cycling to work? Or for that matter thousands of Dutch or Danes?

And if we cannot work as a result of the recession, then what better way to spend our free time than to cycle through our lovely land?
