‘Banksters’ roll dice in game of fantasy finance

REGARDING the recent “transfer” of money between Irish Life and Permanent and Anglo Irish Bank, how come we are always told there is nothing illegal about this kind of carry-on between consenting moneychangers?

What about false accounting, fiduciary, etc, and have the Revenue Commissioners, who are so adept at going after the small man, any role here?

Let’s rename them “banksters” from now on.

And what about our Government, God bless the mark, as people used to say long ago. And our financial ‘regulator’ walks away with a huge nest-egg and an extra e150,000 so that his “expertise” can be available for a further three months, mind you.

He should have been sacked for incompetence and let him take his chances in the courts for unfair dismissal if he so felt.

A fantasy scriptwriter could not make it up.
