PERHAPS Brian Lenihan might, on mature recollection, tell us that in fact he had read that crucial section of the report on the transfer of ‘B&B money’ from ILP to Anglo Irish Bank.

Or maybe if he did not read it, some diligent civil servant brought it to his attention. Then we can all keep a straight face.
