I WAS saddened to learn of the closure of Heatherside hospital in north Cork and the loss of so many good people who worked there.

Our family had a close relationship with the hospital from 2006 to May 2007 when our darling daughter, Gerarda, passed away.

We were privileged to know and correspond with the matron and will be grateful always for the great care given by the nurses and the steadfast support of Fr Michael Campbell.
