Cowen’s priority

SINCE taking office last May, Taoiseach Brian Cowen has barely acknowledged the people of this country with regard to the financial crisis.

However, on Monday last he managed to devote five uninterrupted hours to his own political organisation in order to allow his party members “say their piece” to him. If you were a cynic you might conclude this shows where his loyalties really lie.
