Can RTÉ justify Pat Kenny’s huge salary?

THE salaries paid to RTÉ’s high-profile broadcasters are a frequent topic of conversation at dinner tables and in pubs all over the country.

However, one place you never hear the topic discussed is on any RTÉ programme — which is odd considering that every other national fascination seems to get airtime on Liveline.

I believe people should be paid well for working hard and for good performance.
