Martin’s arrogant dismissal of Lisbon vote

IN the Orwellian world of our Foreign Affairs Minister Micheál Martin, no means yes (January 16).

He claims it would be undemocratic not to hold a second referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. Such awesome arrogance ignores the will of the voters, expressed last June.

But then he is very much in step with his federalist cronies in the EU. After all, the voters of Holland and France rejected the EU Constitution/Liston Treaty but their wishes have been ignored.

Democracy, indeed! We can now look forward to months of scaremongering, threats and bullying from the Euro fanatics.
