Voice of courage

I KNOW I speak for so many people here in Ireland and throughout the world when I say John Ging, director of operations in Gaza for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees, is an Irishman of whom we should all be proud.

He has been a fearless voice calling for an end to the wanton killing of innocent Palestinians, especially those who were killed by Israeli missiles while under UN protection.

His was often a lone voice right in the middle of the mayhem that was Gaza, refusing to care for his own safety while calling for justice and an end to war crimes.
