Dangerous road a matter for council officials

I REFER to the letter from John O’Neill (January 2) on the dangerous stretch of road in the east Cork town of Carrigtwohill which puts schoolchildren at risk because it doesn’t have a footpath.

I agree with the views expressed.

For the record, all councillors of the Midleton area committee of Cork County Council attended an early morning meeting four years ago with residents and children to see the problem at ground level.
