Confronting the banks - Time to go

Despite huge government intervention the ultimate arbiters — the market and investors — have not changed their minds. By their action, or inaction, they voice their opinions: our lot are duffers not to be trusted and they have far, far too many eggs in one basket.

As we have acknowledged, the banks have a very powerful hand, but if our political leaders do not assert their authority now to establish a banking system that will serve all of society when will they assert it?
