Andrews passes buck?

CHILDREN’S Minister Barry Andrews said when he was given the report on the sex abuse scandal in Cloyne diocese he did not read it — just passed it on to the HSE.

Andrews passes buck?

Yet he calls on Bishop McGee to “reflect on his position”.

Why did Mr Andrews not read it — this seems to be a Government habit as Micheál Martin did the same on the nursing home payments matter. Could it be that ministers act like Pontius Pilate and attempt to shift the blame?

I suggest it is more than Bishop McGee who must reflect on his position?
