When will energy prices fall to real levels?

ENERGY utilities have graciously indicated that the price of gas and electricity may not rise at present.

The question that both the Government and consumers should be asking now is why is the price of energy is not falling significantly in line with the dramatic decline in the costs of oil, gas and other fossil fuel supplies?

Wholesale natural gas prices are now approximately 50% of their level in July 2008 and 25% lower than at the start of 2007.
