The joke is over

GIVEN some of the not-so-funny stuff — including sketches bordering on the obscene — from certain ‘comedians’ who appear on RTÉ, there is a case for editorial control of their material.

There is one notable exception: Brendan Grace who is extremely funny and sufficiently talented never to have to be foul-mouthed, sleazy, obscene or blasphemous in a bid to raise a laugh.
