Energy costs - No excuse for waste

NEVER was a piece of good news more welcome. The confirmation that the increase in energy costs scheduled for January has been cancelled is, literally, a ray of light in a gloomy time.

Falling demand has reduced oil prices so energy companies are operating in an environment very different to the one which suggested that these price increases were unavoidable.

However, we should not use this good news as an excuse to return to our flagrant and wasteful energy habits.
