He then complains about the government “trying to remove medical cards from people who had worked hard all their lives”.
He and others seem to be blind to that fact that giving medical cards to all people over 70, but having thresholds for people under that age, is giving preferential treatment to older people.
Is the health of a person under 70 not equally as important?
It could even be argued that if they have young dependents, the nation has an even greater responsibility to look after their health.
