Good servants

I WOULD like to second Declan Gilchrist’s comments (‘Higgins and Howlin have done the state a great service’, Letters, October 13).

Their actions in defence of the public interest are of even greater significance now. We should salute politicians of the calibre of Jim Higgins and Brendan Howlin.
