Privatisation - Utilities are not for sale

NOBODY can be surprised that, as our economy collapses, the usual voices are advocating that we sell off the family silver by privatising national assets.

There may be good arguments for selling off some of these, but it would be insanity even now to contemplate selling utilities. We already paid too high a price for selling off Eircom as our primitive broadband service reminds us every day. Are we really so stupid as to trust the very forces who have destroyed our economies with our electricity generation and supply services?
