Expert will explain why laughter is best medicine

NOW that medical cards are being withdrawn and healthcare is becoming more and more expensive, perhaps your readers would be interested in hearing about a free and effective medical treatment which has been around for thousands of years and has no negative side-effects.

Next Thursday, Dr Bill Fry, psychiatrist and professor emeritus of Stanford University School of Medicine, will deliver the annual Cummings Memorial Lecture on Humour at UCC.

The title of his lecture is Contributions of Humour and Laughter to Health and Happiness.

Dr Fry is one of the world’s foremost authorities on laughter and health and the event will take place in Boole Lecture Theatre 2 at 4pm. Admission is free and all are welcome.
