Gormley should lead without a Merc in tow

ENVIRONMENT Minister John Gormley recently called for change in people’s behaviour which he hoped would be encouraged by new cycle lanes in Dublin.

This is a bit rich coming from someone who cycles to work every day followed by a Mercedes driven by a garda.

Driving in Ireland is no longer a luxury and people are only doing it out of necessity. The budget will make sure of that by adding another eight cent per litre to the price of petrol just when hard-pressed motorists thought they were getting a break.
