Fundamental error survives the budget

FINANCE Minister Brian Lenihan was just whistling past the Republican plot in Glasnevin on his way to the Dáil chamber yesterday afternoon.

His hairshirt budget will do nothing to alter the famous fundamentals of the economy, which are far from sound.
