It was only relatively recently that political subversives were banned from the airwaves.
How does the State broadcaster allow one of its own employees to make a brave attempt at subverting the financial institutions of the State by giving free rein to reckless comment, including editorialising on the financial security of the banks and building societies.
I recall RTÉ refusing to play Doris Day’s popular song, Move Over Darling, because of the threat it might pose to our innocence.
After dealing at the coalface with the fallout that was instigated by ‘poor aul’ Joe’, I feel like singing, Move Over Duffy!
