Sickening priorities

HINTS have been dropped to the media that the Government plans to add up to €15 a month to the already onerous Drugs Payment Scheme (monthly cost €90) in the budget.

In other words, people with long-term illnesses will be made to pay for the millionaire property speculators’ excesses. Meanwhile, the Northern Assembly is to scrap prescription charges (currently only £7) to alleviate hardship.

How sick is that?
