Two brave families

I WISH to congratulate the relatives of cancer victims Ann Moriarthy and Edel Kelly for demanding an inquiry into their deaths.

They have now joined the long list of those who have suffered at the hands of incompetent health authorities.

Prof Tom Keane’s promises, which do not include a guarantee against a recurrence of such cases, are simply pathetic. We should be thankful that we still have people who are prepared to fight injustices even though their own causes have been lost. The pragmatism that has replaced moral principle in our political leaders has lead us into this morass.
