Palin’s right-wing has a dismal record

IT is probably a bit off-base to focus on the pregnancy of Sarah Palin’s daughter or to wonder what sort of parental care her own baby gets.

After all, her husband Todd may be doing a great job as a stay-at-home dad. Sarah has great achievements and her kids probably love her.

In any case, it is perhaps more pertinent to point out the following — you can dress up hypocritical, cynical and destructive right-wing nonsense in drag to your heart’s content. It’s like putting lipstick on a pig.

Given the chance, the right wing will continue to produce the same results it has for the past eight years.

US Republicans have a nearly perfect record of domestic and international mismanagement. Let’s throw in corruption for good measure. They are great complainers. Whiners, even. But can they do the business?

Look at the record. Military quagmires, inflation, recession, unemployment, massive federal deficits, falling test scores, global warming, healthcare crisis, real estate crisis.

And that’s the shortlist. It is a record for which Sarah Palin is a pom-pom girl. Meanwhile, let’s hope someone is looking after her kids. We’ve had a neglected kid in the White House for the past eight years and the results are self-evident.
