Savage and corrupt

IN his article on August 6, Stephen King regaled us with anecdotes about a film “about a psychopathic clown who enjoys knifing people”.

He also filled us in about the plot which includes such charming details as “jails and hospitals are blown up; bombs are stuffed in people’s mouths and sewn into their stomachs before exploding. And that’s only the half of it. This film is supposed to be suitable for children but is primarily designed to make money. Is it any wonder we are becoming a savage and corrupt society?
