Cosmetic attempt

IN light of the recent authority given by the Energy Regulator to the ESB for yet another increase, this proves that regulators in all industries do more to support who they regulate than they do for the customer.

Recent proposals by the Consumer Association of Ireland to provide people with a price watch service is a cosmetic attempt to step around the real question as to why fuel prices are rising so frequently. Why won’t the CAI or the National Consumer Agency do something to make prices come down?
