Harrington’s honour

I SUGGEST that Cork City Council members nominate Pádraig Harrington for the freedom of the city.

His outstanding performances on the golf course mark him out as a role model for our youth. Not alone is Harrington an outstanding golfer, he is one of nature’s gentlemen and the best sports ambassador any country could wish for.

And of course we must not forget his Cork connections as his late father, Paddy, wore the Cork colours in Gaelic football and Pádraig still has many relations in west Cork. Here’s one man Cork and Ireland can be proud of.
