No regrets — but look out for the political spin

I AM a twentysomething who was delighted to have been afforded the privilege (denied to the majority of my fellow Europeans) of voting no to the Lisbon Treaty.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s visit to Dublin on Monday is very much a grand effort in political spin to make the Irish people rethink their decision to vote the ‘wrong’ way on June 12 last. Well, my response to being bullied into bowing to the yes arguments proffered by Sarkozy is: “Non, je ne regrette rien.”
