IT is unlikely that any of us will still be alive 100 years from now. Consequently, we won’t learn of the disappointment at the ridiculous attempts in our lifetime to try to counter global warming in the belief that it was a man-made.

It will be akin to the notion of the 17th century Catholic Church believing the earth was the centre of the universe — except for all the resources squandered by the global warming industry.

Attempts to prevent global warming might as well include efforts to control movement of the earth’s tectonic plates or prevent earthquakes
