Gormley’s U-turn

WITH all the doom and gloom around at the moment, it’s great that Environment Minister John Gormley provides us with a bit of of a laugh.

He says there is no public health risk from the toxic waste dumped in Haulbowline in Cork harbour. This is Gormley in government.

Imagine if he was in opposition. Gormley the Green would be calling for heads to roll for what is the worst pollution incident in the country.

But in government, no threat, no risk, no worry. Joke, ha, ha, ha.
