Harbour view

YOUR report on a proposed tour boat service on Cork Harbour (June 16) made no less that three references to the “the second largest natural harbour in the world.”

I’m intrigued to know which world you live on. Clearly, it can’t include the Shannon estuary, Lough Foyle or any Norwegian fjord. Likewise, it’s bereft of any great port like Venice, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Vancouver, San Francisco, New York or Rio. No, I’m not seeking advice on going there — it seems a small, uninteresting world.
