Chaos in Zimbabwe - Remove mad, bad Mugabe

ZIMBABWE has endured all sorts of deprivations during the despotic Mugabe years, since 1980, but even that chaos took a new and sinister turn yesterday when opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai sought refuge at the Dutch Embassy in Harare, shortly after police took away 60 people from his party’s headquarters.

Chaos in Zimbabwe - Remove mad, bad Mugabe

Tsvangirai withdrew from this week’s presidential runoff against Mugabe, saying violence against opposition supporters had made voting impossible. He applied for a new passport earlier this month but officials refused, saying he lacked proper police clearance.

Mugabe is mad and evil and his neighbours, with as much help as they need from the international community, must intervene before political violence turns to all out civil war and the carnage that will bring.
