THE charter of fundamental human rights enshrined in the Lisbon Treaty makes it possible for almost anyone to come and live in Ireland and it also makes it impossible for our Government to deport them.

This means that Ireland cannot control its population, safeguard its ecology or protect its environment. Global warming would deem this essential, as a low population model could better adjust to this and the erratic or diminishing food and water supplies it may bring.

However, this was not debated. Our trendy politicians avoided the subject of immigration.
