Celebrating Father’s Day - Dad deserves a cuddle — or card — too

NEXT Sunday is Father’s Day and though it is little more than a marketing swizz dreamt up by some card manufacturer — and Mother’s Day too — they have been firmly established in the lexicon of things to be celebrated in our lives.

Therefore, it is surprising, and more than a little disappointing, that nearly half (49%) of Irish wives, sons or daughters are not planning to mark the day.

Half of the population don’t think “the da” is worth a little pat on the back, a quick cuddle or even a card bought at the last minute in a 24-hour filling station.
