Wrong image
This was a deeply moving picture showing the grief of many Chinese at this time.
In the analysis page of the same issue there was an article on China’s one-child policy with a picture of a dead boy being clothed by his grieving parents.
This second photo went beyond the call of common decency and into the realm of the gutter press.
There was no need to show readers such a private and emotional moment as these grieving parents made preparations for the burial of their child.
Will you soon start printing pictures of dead people in car or other accidents?
I hope not as I would not like my favourite newspaper to turn into a tabloid.
