Political extremes

IN his letter (April 29), Tom Cooper suggests we the people of Cork should have shunned the Rev Ian Paisley on his recent visit Cobh.

Political extremes

Mr Cooper suggests “this unrepentant bigot should be shunned like the political pygmy and religious hypocrite he is”.

This attitude is totally inconsiderate to the people of Northern Ireland and to the concessions Paisley has made which have led to peace and stability there. These are being applauded, deservedly, by the Irish people — be they from Belfast, Cork or Cobh.
