No more cosmetics — personal or political

HOW could Bertie Ahern, who spends approximately €500 of taxpayers’ money on make-up every week, be a huge loss to Irish politics?

Surely a leader who needs to be done up like this won’t be missed from our public life which has experienced lame, corrupt and fake politicians for far too long. Now is the time for a real leader who will shun the cosmetics — personal and political — and devote more money and time to resolving real problems such as anti-social behaviour.
