However, the event also gave a clear indication of the energy wasted in our cities and towns. If we can survive for an hour without the excessive lighting, why did it have to be turned back on?

It’s hard to believe IBEC, ISME, et al, when they argue that high energy costs are making Ireland uncompetitive when you can see lights, computers and TVs left on all weekend and overnight in their members’ premises.
