Let’s have Sarah’s Law for sex offenders here
It also shows the victims that people do care about them in Britain (and also in America where they have Megan’s Law).
Sadly and disgracefully, the same cannot be said of Ireland where our justice system shows little or no interest in the protection of our children and women against paedophiles and sex offenders. In this country the law is extremely dangerous.
We must ask ourselves why we continue to ignore paedophilia and other sex offences as evil crimes against the most vulnerable in our society. Why do we continually allow the perpetrator to be treated better than the victim?
This country risks an inrush of paedophiles and sex offenders from abroad because Ireland is known as a safe haven for them.
We must demand that our victims of paedophiles and sex offenders have their Sarah’s/Megan’s Law.
