OVER the past five years 42 people have been killed and 104 seriously injured on our roads over the St Patrick’s Day and Easter holiday periods.

No matter how we might wish it is unlikely that this bank holiday weekend will pass without several people being killed on Irish roads.

And though the Road Safety Authority, the gardaí, and lots of other organisations have been relentlessly on-message about the causes of road fatalities, far too many people still die on our roads.
