Rubbish-dumpers head for quiet rural roads
A Scottish visitor to Cork recently was horrified (Letters, March 1) to see bags of domestic rubbish dumped on the side of the main Cork-Limerick road. It’s a good job he didn’t choose to travel the byroads or he would have been totally distracted. It seems some people are hellbent on reclaiming the title that took us so long to lose, “the dirty Irish”.
