ERIC CONWAY (‘Faith schools: the case in favour is proven (Letters, February 7) reminds me once again of how we are all entitled to our own opinions, but not to our own facts.

Evolution theory of  heads or hearts?

His epistle against evolution also reminds me of the US comedian Stephen Colbert’s word of the day during his debut show, Thruthiness.

In describing ‘thruthiness’, Colbert said: “I don’t trust books. They’re all fact, no heart. And that’s exactly what’s pulling our country apart today. ‘Cause face it, folks, we are a divided nation. Not between Democrats and Republicans, or conservatives and liberals. No, we are divided between those who think with their head and those who know with their heart.”
