Organic food research findings here contradicted by results of four-year study in Britian

THE views expressed by Dr Con O’Rourke of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) at their recent open forum on organic food showed the level of misconception and bias in Ireland about organic farming.

Dr O’Rourke correctly highlights the need for more scientific research on organic farming.

This is essential and we in the organic sector have continually requested that the Government allocate funding for independent scientific research in Ireland.
